(without boring them)

Mon 9th September 7:30pm or
Tues 10th September 6:00pm

Hello (and welcome), my name is Alicia

I am the Founder and the CEO of That Budget Stuff. I am also the developer of Reverse Budgeting and the co-developer of The Wealthy Life System too!

I have a HUGE passion for everything relating to money in particular, I am pretty obsessed with setting (and achieving) financial goals.

My Personal Money Passion

Even more, I want to share my passion with families (parents, children, tweens and teens) and help them use their money to achieve their financial goals

How I Started Being Interested in Money

My interest in earning and saving money started when I was 8 years old and I saved up my pocket money for 12 weeks for a precious Blinky Bill book. It was my very special Mum that taught me the value of saving.

My Mum and Dad were also my role models for a strong work ethic and when I was 11 years old I got my first job delivering newspapers and pamphlets. This was the start of many part-time and then full-time jobs.

Money Skills Have Changed My Life

I bought my first house when I was 23 (I was still at uni). And since that time (through many ups and downs) I have continued to grow my money skills and knowledge in personal finance. This has then led me to develop many successful money education programs over the last 12 years.

More Info About My Family!

Whilst I was very focused on learning money skills to help me – this just grew tenfold when I met and married Paul. Over the last 12 years, Paul and I together have developed and refined The Wealthy Life System. By following The Wealthy Life System, we have been able to set ourselves up financially. Giving us the opportunity to live a wonderful life!

The Money Gift We Have Given Our Children

Along the way, we knew that the biggest gift we could ever give our children is financial literacy. So since all of our three children were babies, we started to share information about money with them.

Our eldest son has gone through all the stages of childhood (toddler, young child, tween, teen, youth) continually learning new and more complex money skills along the way.

We have taken everything we have taught and learnt about children and money from our eldest and used the best parts to teach our two teenage daughters. They are both now very experienced with most aspects of money. And well on their way to being financially independent at an early age.

The Family Benefits of Learning About Money

We know that learning about money skills together as a family benefits everyone. Not only does it develop a high level of financial literacy it also provides a deeper relationship and connection.
